PURPLEFIELDS

After a single painting debut in 2015, my PURPLEFIELD Series exploded in 2017. The color purple is regal, and emits a most luxurious, inspiring spirit. I think of the music from Camelot, the musical, and the promise and rush of positivism of the JFK “Camelot” Presidency that I felt as a teenager in 1960 when I paint purple. It makes me so happy! It is remarkable how much color, hue, saturation and exuberance is contained in all the different shades of this color. I personally LOVE purple combined with blue, and placed next to or near the color red.
